Bio
Born in Portland, OR and based in Los Angeles, Kenny Regan is a composer for both screen and stage. In seeking to create an aesthetic dialogue between the ancient and the avant-garde, Kenny draws from a wide range of influences: from orchestral and chamber music, to medieval music, to jazz and gospel, to electronics—he views tradition and trajectory as two sides of the same coin, each of which must be explored to fully appreciate the other.
With a B.M. in Composition and an M.M. in Screen Scoring from the University of Southern California, Kenny has studied under Frank Ticheli, Bruce Broughton, Donald Crockett and Russ Ferrante, among others. His hobbies include drawing (poorly), hiking, running long distances, and reading dense philosophy that he doesn’t really understand.
